1870: The "Villa Soleil" welcomed writers in search of lost inspiration, a project that was quickly abandoned for it to become an excellent hotel on the French Riviera which soon became the residence of choice for all Europe.
15 years passed before the Cape saw the arrival of Antoine Sella, a young Piedmontese hotelier who saw quickly, and with justification, that the Napoleon III style building would become the Hôtel du Cap. It has not ceased since then to radiate and be embellished, in particular thanks to the seawater swimming pool dug in the rock, the Eden-Roc Pavilion, and the famous "cabins". In a century and a half, the Hôtel du Cap Eden-Roc has become a mystical refuge whose history blends in with that of the celebrities who come from the 4 corners of the world to find their part of paradise: luxury in all its simplicity.
