Oetker Hotels
History
Though officially founded in 2008, the story of Oetker Hotels begins much earlier, woven into the fabric of European hospitality and shaped by a family whose passion for extraordinary masterpiece hotels has spanned generations.

In the summer of 1964, while sailing the Mediterranean, Rudolf August and Maja Oetker glimpsed a white villa perched above the azure waters of Cap d’Antibes. Five years later, they bought the legendary Hotel du Cap, renaming it Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc - a name that would become synonymous with Riviera glamour and credited with creating the summer season in the South of France as we know it today.
While the acquisition of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc ignitied whithin the Oetkers, a passionate desire to create a collection of truly exceptionals hotels, the story began in the 1920s, when the Oetker family became minor shareholders in Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa. An enchanting sanctuary situated on the cusp of the Black Forest, Rudolf August Oetker later acquired his beloved Baden-Baden haven in 1941.
In 1978, long charmed by the delights of the French capital, the Oetkers set their sights on Le Bristol Paris.
Each of these three iconic hotels was purchased directly from its original owners, a testament to the family’s discerning eye and deep respect for heritage and observing the highest hotelier standards. Château Saint-Martin & Spa, a soul-stirring hilltop retreat in Vence with sweeping views of the Côte d’Azur, joined the fold in 1994.
